These new "Informers" are an advanced Alert Receiver. Where-as normal weather alert receivers are activated by the National Weather Bureau, the Informer can be programmed to activate on the exact same signal as the siren warning system or a Fire Department page. Each unit can understand and active on multiple signals if required. This allows for more direct and pertinent alerts. The Informer includes it's own power supply, antenna and internal rechargable battery to keep it working for you even if commercial power is lost. We program the Informer for free when you supply the frequency and paging information with the order.
